Mike Hines

Today was special!!
The outpouring of support for Mike Hines was more than anyone could have asked for.
Fire fighters were along the entire route from the 32s to Mike’s house. Total strangers were waving in support as he passed by
Thanks to all that made this happen!
Too many in the CFD to mention here
Special thanks to the CPD;
Cheviot, Green Twp and Miami Township FDs for all the help they provided in making this day happen
From the Andrew Hines & family:
I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but this is everyone I talked to or who I saw helping today. I can't begin to thank you fully for today. It was entirely more than we could've asked for. Dad was thoroughly impressed, shocked and overwhelmed ( in a good way) and even got a little emotional at the end. Our family could not be any more appreciative. And if I forget any one who had a large part in this. Please forward our sincere thanks!
Dad was more than honored and he continued to say, "more people" "this is too much" "is this for me?"
"People probably think the president died"
Point being, you all know dad and he's not an emotional guy, and he was pretty emotional when we got home. He was very appreciative of the entire thing
Thanks Dave.

The CFD family lost another great one tonight. This one hurts. You really can’t put into words what a lot of us thought of Mike. For me, when you look up Firefighter in the dictionary, there should be a picture of Mike, not only did he look the part but he was fearless, heroic, and the guy you want with you when things weren’t going right. As a Fire Officer, he was a leader, fair, loyal, transparent and consistant. A man that stood up for his guys. As Fire Instructor, trained guys the right way - showed them how to really be firefighters. He was always the jokester around the firehouse, and you were never going to one up him, trust me, he would make you pay When you were around Mike , you couldn’t help but laugh at the stories As Mike Blust stated in his post, Mike was definitely a once in a lifetime type of guy. Thanks for being my mentor, friend, and teammate. Going to miss you buddy! Rest in Peace my friend, prayers for you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏
Thanks Greg
